In about 20 minutes, you can increase the performance, power, sport factor, and economy for your 2015--2016 Chevrolet Colorado / 2015--2016 GMC Canyon.
Dyno-proven gains in power

Using a chassis dynamometer, TRIFECTA has established proven gains in torque and horsepower!

3.6L LFX dyno graph(on 91 octane pump gas) (this vehicle is a 2015 GMC Canyon CrewCab 2LT with a 3.6L LFX engine) - stock wheels/tires:

Driver Selectable Vehicle Modes (also known as “DSVM” or “Shift-on-the-fly”):

The ability to change the driving behavior of a truck has always been of great interest to the truck community. TRIFECTA exclusively offers the ability to change between three driving modes, on the fly. Three profiles offered: Sport, Eco, and Tow/Haul
Sport mode offers aggressive pedal response, more progressive downshifts, extended shift points (selected when cruise control system is disarmed)
Eco mode offers economy-centric pedal response and shift points (selected when cruise control system is armed)
Tow/Haul offers the factory tow/haul mode (selected when tow/haul button is pressed / mode engaged)
Specifications of the TRIFECTA Performance Chevrolet Colorado MY2015--2016 and GMC Canyon MY2015--2016 3.6L LFX ECM software reprogramming:
Gains of up to +31 ft-lbs and +27 WHP under the curve (and +26 ft-lbs and +21 WHP peak on 91 octane) Powertrain calibration has been tested and validated for various environments, such as cold/heat, elevation, and variations in fuel quality Power feels linear and immediately responsive (improved drivability and throttle attentiveness) Retains all GM OE diagnostics and ECM functionality Retains all OE error code reporting and functionality Emissions readiness checks are present; emissions compliant Maintains functionality of ABS and TC systems Knock detection mechanisms and OE engine knock detection sensitivity is retained With the current generation of TRIFECTA's flash loader solutions, the TRIFECTA Transparency featureset is available when flashing your vehicle. The TRIFECTA Transparency featureset may help protect against dealerships looking for reasons to evade performing legitimate repairs under the factory powertrain warranty. Return to stock functionality included with EZ Flash cable and software TRIFECTA Octane Adaptive MKII featureset will bias for lower octane fuels (multi dimensional airflow knock zoning and timing decay tables, not just high/low)
Specifications of the TRIFECTA Performance MY2015+ Chevrolet Colorado / GMC Canyon 6L50 6-Speed automatic transmission TCM calibration software reprogramming:
Supplementary 6L50 transmission TCM reprogramming compliments the ECM reprogramming and completes the TRIFECTA Powertrain Calibration: designed to work in unison with the ECM reprogramming for optimized performance Improved shift times in adverse shift patterns Improved shift logic (improved drivability) Does not shorten transmission life or increase cooling requirements Retains all OE diagnostics and TCM functionality Retains all OE error code reporting and functionality Improved fuel economy with improvements made to torque converter slip profiles
Installation Notes:
Estimated installation time of ~20 minutes Premium fuel is recommended for maximum power output, but not required
Additional information and availability:

  • 17 Digit Vehicle Identification Number.

Must be exactly 17 digits, 9th digit must be 0--9 or 'X', and cannot contain characters 'I', 'O', or 'Q'.

We recommend acquiring the VIN directly from the vehicle's VIN Plaque on the dash, or the certification label in the door jamb since insurance and service documents are sometimes incorrect.

  • Leave unchanged for no adjustment.

Updates: You do not need to perform the GPS test again if your tire size hasn't changed since your last update. This includes if you switch gearsets.

Larger tires will read greater than 60mph on the GPS.
Smaller tires will read less than 60mph on the GPS.

  • (e.g. 4.10, 4.56, etc)

    Leave blank if stock.
  • Choose Single File...
Or drag and drop your file here

We require a photo showing the speed rating on the tire sidewall as installed on the vehicle. The speed limiter will be raised in the calibration to match the speed rating of the tire.

Thanks to Michael with support I was able to get the few things corrected before they actually wrote my tune. I kinda held up the process a lil but i appreciate their help. As far as the tune, night and day difference. Shift points are a LOT better. Power is good, but being my Canyon is lifted and rollin' on 20" wheels so I wasn't expecting it to blow my hair back. However, you can definitely tell the difference.

The tune was the answer to several issues. I bought my 15 Canyon with 24k miles . I installed a fiber glass cap and a Bed slide and taller tires.(255/75/17) 2" taller with a lift an level kit 3 1/4". All of these added to the already adequate  power and poor shifting habits , and I towed a 2 axial trail couple time a week.

The trifecta tune has made the truck  pull the extra weight with no problem , turn the taller tires like stock size, and pull the trailer in tow mode with ease.

Then turn off the cruise control ,and sport mode will impress , hard to keep your foot out of it. Love driving this truck now. Just put it in sport mode to pass or jump off the line, then switch to the eco.mode after you blow them away.

Best of both worlds, better mpg. better performance and towing. Support is great and the install is simple. And removable if needed(but you'll never want to!)

Looking forward to trying my stock size tires to feel it performance then. I can change the speedo for tire size anytime I need ! With the advantage Plus+

YOU will NOT be Sorry!    Its not just a young mans thing I like it too!

Two things that stand out the most; the quality of the product and the customer support. Firstly, purchasing a product and having it work as advertised, the 1st time, with no issues, is very rare anymore. The Trifecta calibration for my 2015 GMC Canyon SLT 3.6L works AWESOME! Secondly, in my opinion, the best customer support is one that you don't need to use. Given the quality of what I have experienced thus far, I have no doubt that if I do need customer support, I will get it with the same level of quality as the product itself.

Now, to the calibration. Night and day difference! Before the tune, the transmission did what it wanted, and very poorly at that. Shifting was irregular, slow to respond, and really hindered the performance of the truck. On the rare occasion it did work correctly, it still seemed the power was lacking given the specs for the truck and 3.6L V6 engine. I can honestly say that is no longer an issue. From a dead stop, if I punch it, I am breaking traction. Normal driving yields smooth shifting to the appropriate gear given the speed and RPM, and if needed, I can give it a little gas and it responds accordingly. No more doing 35 MPH and having to put the pedal to the floor just to get it to downshift. It drives like a completely different truck!

With the Advantage+ tune you also get a speedometer recalibration. I have aftermarket 275/65/R18 Nitto Grappler 2 AT's and the speedometer vs GPS is now dead on!

I am by no means an expert in this type of arena; however, I can say that this calibration works, and works very well! I'm not sure if it's primarily the ECM calibration, the TCM calibration, or a combination of both, but the performance of the truck is now what you would expect, if not better, given the specs. I highly recommend Trifecta, their product, and will not hesitate to use their services again!
